Latinos in Development (LID) invites you to Meet and Greet with the Experts, a networking event featuring: Brenda Butler, Senior Features Editor, Chicago Tribune Magazine, Patricia L. Garza, Director of Strategic Philanthropy, Allstate Insurance Company and Ed Rivera, Principal, Kittleman & Associates.
Meet and Greet with the Experts is a networking event for development and other nonprofit professionals offering the opportunity to learn firsthand from these three experts. Meet and mingle with these experienced professionals to gain insight about pitching your stories, strategizing your corporate requests, and advancing to high-level careers in nonprofits. As senior features editor for the Chicago Tribune Magazine, Brenda Butler oversees the magazine's coverage of topics such as fashion, pop culture, design and interiors, food and entertaining. Brenda is also president of the National Association of Black Journalists - Chicago Chapter.
As Director of Strategic Philanthropy for Allstate Insurance Company, Patricia L. Garza oversees The Allstate Foundation and its national initiatives in Teen Safe Driving and Economic Empowerment for Domestic Violence Survivors. Previously, Patricia worked at Kraft Foods as Associate Director Strategic Contributions where she directed Kraft’s community health & wellness programs in the Americas and Europe.
Ed Rivera is Principal at Kittleman & Associates, the first executive search firm in the country dedicated to the nonprofit sector. Having served in numerous senior and chief executive posts, Mr. Rivera has more than thirty years of leadership and management experience in the nonprofit community.
