Public Affairs Training for Nonprofits

This workshop will highlight techniques that can be employed by nonprofit groups to attract attention to their causes and help move their legislative and policy agendas. We’ll discuss how to employ the three components of public affairs – community relations, public relations, and government relations – to amplify your organization’s voice and build effective coalitions. We will analyze what works and what does not work in public affairs campaigns, using current examples.

The seminar is geared toward those organizations that seek to heighten public awareness of their cause to impact public policy or shape public opinion around advocacy issues. It is ideal for community organizers, media relations representatives, and CEOs. It will offer practical information that can be immediately applied to make your organization more successful in mobilizing support on every level.
