Welcome to Greater Chicago Nonprofit Gateway web site.

Organizations of all types are concerned about their impact on the environment, and nonprofits are no exception. So what does it mean to be a “green” nonprofit? How does the triple bottom line (economic, social, and environmental) apply to the work of nonprofits? What can you affordably do to green your organization and where do you start? For entry-level staff to CEOs, this practical session includes a self-assessment along with free and low cost resources that nonprofits can use to evaluate their programs and practices and make simple cost-effective changes, some of which can actually save money while reducing their environmental footprint.
